Correction

Thanks to an observant reader, and a fellow Jets Fan, I need to make a correction to yesterday's post.

The Jets were 6-10 in 1990. Still not impressive however, looking at their level of competition that year. They beat the following teams:

Cleveland Browns: This was Blair Thomas' first home football game in a Jets Uniform. Too bad it wasn't his last. Cleveland ended up the season in dead last place at 3-13.

New England Patriots: Marc Wilson at Quarterback and Rod Rust at coach. Do I need to say more?

Houston Oilers: This was a damn nice win in Houston that year. Fumble recovery in the end zone clinched the game in the second half.

Dallas Cowboys: A below average Cowboy team that year. Second year for Troy Aikman. Terance Mathis returned a kickoff for a touchdown in that game.

New England: I think my grandfathers dead uncle could've beaten the Patriots that year. Has to be one of the worst teams in history or at least in the 90's. Up there with the '96 Jets.

Tampa Bay: Bad team. Guess who was quarterback? And he was a VETERAN in 1990!!!! Talk about old.

1990 in the NFL wasn't like today. There were bad teams all over the place, and the unbalanced schedule was in high gear.
